Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.

Upper Age limit relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST

For the post of Lower Division Assistant in Heads of Department.

Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.

1) General English – 150 marks

2) General Awareness & Aptitude – 150 marks

Total – 300 marks

For the post of Assistant Inspector of Excise under the Commissioner of Excise.

Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.

1) General English – 100 marks

2) General Knowledge & Aptitude – 100 marks

3) Arithmetic (Class X- Level) – 100 marks

Total – 300 marks

Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test/ Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview. Ratio to be called for Personal Interview will be as decided by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission from time to time.

For the Written examination -in all the posts, a few questions will be set in the regional languages i.e; Khasi and Garo, such questions shall not exceed 5% of the total marks allotted for written examination.
